This White Nationalist Just Got Kicked off of SoundCloud (TWEETS)

He may be America’s most notorious white supremacist, but fortunately Richard Spencer has just had his podcast kicked off of SoundCloud thanks to investigative journalist Alex Kotch. Spencer is about as obnoxious as these people get, claiming that people of color are inferior to white people and that African-Americans and Hispanics have lower IQs than whites.

SoundCloud did the right thing

Oh, and he also advocates “peaceful ethnic cleansing” to halt the “deconstruction” of European culture, The Southern Poverty Law Center reports. Yes, he’s that kind of obnoxious and rude jerk.

As head of the National Policy Institute, Spencer has even mocked Martin Luther King Jr., by writing this racist b.s.:

“Martin Luther King Jr., a fraud and degenerate in his life, has become the symbol and cynosure of White Dispossession and the deconstruction of Occidental civilization. We must overcome!”

Fortunately, now that he’s been kicked off of SoundCloud, he has one less avenue with which to spew his offensive bile.

Here’s what Kotch did, in his own words:

“Last Monday, I noticed that the podcast Spencer produces with his alt-right website had a paid account at SoundCloud, the popular streaming website. The ‘AltRight Radio’ account didn’t have many followers, but some of the podcasts themselves, which one can embed on most websites, had been listened to roughly 12,000 times.”

“I wondered whether Spencer’s hate-filled podcasts were violating SoundCloud’s terms of service.”

Welp, turns out Spencer’s podcasts were, in fact, violating the company’s terms of service. Kotch found out that SoundCloud’s community guidelines clearly forbid “content that promotes or encourages hatred, discrimination or violence against others based on things like race, cultural identity or ethnic background, religious beliefs, disability, gender identity, or sexual orientation.”

Looks like SoundCloud was asleep on the job.

The company’s terms of use state clearly that it can suspend or terminate an account if it violates the community guidelines.

So Kotch embarked on a tweetstorm about the racist and anti-Semitic AltRight Radio account and the offensive nonsense promulgated by Spencer, urging the company to terminate the account.

You get the idea.

And of course, more than a few idiots decided to add anti-Semitic insults, but here’s the most notable one, perhaps:

Because of course, some people just can’t be stupid enough.

And Spencer fired off a rather terse tweet, which appears to no longer be available on Twitter. Nevertheless, here’s what he said, according to Salon:

“Altright_com has been no-platformed from @SoundCloud, despite the fact that I’ve used the service for years. Stay tuned for updates.”

A spokesperson for SoundCloud told The Independent why the company decided to remove Spencer’s podcast:

“SoundCloud is an open platform, so freedom of expression is important to maintain credibility and authenticity with our creators and users,” the spokesperson said.

“While we clearly forbid content that promotes or incites hatred in our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines, we do not proactively monitor the platform for content that could be classified as hate speech. Instead, we rely on members of our community to flag this to us. Once flagged, our dedicated trust & and safety team act quickly to review. If we determine that reported content is in violation of our Terms of Use, we promptly remove it from the platform.”

Spencer has also had his membership revoked at a gym in Virginia after a university professor confronted him and accused him of being a neo-Nazi.

It’s great to see people are calling him out for his hateful opinions.

Spencer’s biggest claim to notoriety came in January, when a video surfaced of him being punched and it went viral. Frankly, I wouldn’t mind seeing more of these creepy fools getting punched every day. It’s what they deserve for their cruel and divisive rhetoric and nasty, violent ways.

I have absolutely no room in my heart for these people. They are vile and disgusting.

Enough said.
