Trump’s Top Russia Probe Lawyer Just Quit – The Writing is on the Wall, Trump is Doomed (VIDEO)
Donald Trump Lead Lawyer on Russia John Dowd Out
Eleven days ago, Republican Donald Trump got angry at the New York Times for stating there was drama in terms of his legal team.
The Failing New York Times purposely wrote a false story stating that I am unhappy with my legal team on the Russia case and am going to add another lawyer to help out. Wrong. I am VERY happy with my lawyers, John Dowd, Ty Cobb and Jay Sekulow. They are doing a great job and…..

Today, more drama with Trump’s legal team has unfolded.
John Dowd, the lead for the Trump legal group on the Russia investigation, is out after many reports of unhappiness with the president. The New York Times reports:
Mr. Dowd, who took over the president’s legal team last summer, had considered leaving several times in recent months and ultimately concluded that Mr. Trump was increasingly ignoring his advice, one of the people said. Under Mr. Dowd’s leadership, Mr. Trump’s lawyers had advised him to cooperate with the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, who is investigating Russia’s election interference and possible ties to Trump associates as well as whether the president obstructed the inquiry. The president has instead in recent days begun publicly assailing Mr. Mueller, a shift in tone that appears to be born of the president’s concern that the investigation is bearing down on him more directly. He has also privately insisted he should sit for an interview with the special counsel’s office, even though Mr. Dowd believed it was a bad idea.
Dowd had been the replacement for Marc Kasowitz, who left after profanity-laced emails to strangers were published.
Dowd said in a statement, “I love the president, and I wish him well”.
CNN noted the trouble Dowd had made for the president in the past:
Dowd landed himself and the President in hot water after a tweet he says he authored suggested Trump knew Flynn lied to the FBI in January, reviving questions of whether Trump committed obstruction of justice when he allegedly asked then-FBI Director James Comey to drop the Flynn investigation.
It was recently reported the firings of Comey and Flynn are a heavy focus for Special Counsel Robert Mueller in the part of his investigation that relates directly to Trump.
John Dowd’s departure is reported to be a “mutual” decision by all sides.
Trump lawyer John Dowd was not happy with the hiring of Joe DiGenova, and members of the legal team were not happy with Dowd's statement on Saturday about ending the Mueller probe. Decision to leave was "mutual," @PamelaBrownCNN reports

DiGenova is a conspiracy theorist that was added to the team just days ago. That was followed by former George W. Bush Solicitor General Ted Olsen turning down an apparent offer to join the Trump legal team.
